Kai Koppel and Viivi-Ann Keerdo, whose Glass Studio has been in operation since 1991, are graduates of the Estonian Academy of Art. Both are members of the Estonian Artists’ Association and the Union of Artists in Glass; Viivi-Ann Keerdo also belongs to the artists’ associations “Muhu Kess” and “ON Grupp”.
Both artists have also been actively involved, in Estonia as well as internationally, in expositions and in symposia. Since 2003 Kai Koppel has organized the Glass Symposium in Haapsalu every summer.
The glass studio enchants visitors with its mystique. Each artist’s distinctive works are created on the premises. The master glassblower works right at the glass oven; such a unique scene beguiles the visitor into entering the complicated and colorful world of glass.
The romance of the 13th century vaulted building, the brilliance of the glass, and the fascination of glassblowing itself... that is the Glass Studio of Koppel and Keerdo.
